Jacmel, Haiti

In 2011, I had the pleasure of mentoring the 1st graduating class of the Cine-Institute, Haiti's only film school, as they shot their graduating thesis feature film.  The school is situated in the town of Jacmel, on Haiti's southern coast.  It has beautiful beaches, a beautiful but dilapidated colonial town center, great food, but especially, beautiful people.  It was an honor to mentor these young men and women as they created a visual language and narrative for their earthquake and poverty-ravaged nation.
